Mayjah Rayjah Music Festival
The festival returns to Aloha Stadium on July 26-27 with headliners reggae superstar Damian “J. Gong” Marley and island music megastars SOJA. The event runs from 5 p.m. Friday to 11 p.m. Saturday. Tickets range from  $50 to $300 with one-day and two-day passes available.

Blue Note Hawaii
The legendary blues guitarist, songwriter and singer will spin his musical tales with shows at 6:30 and 9 p.m. July 26-27. Doors open at 5 and 8:30 p.m. Tickets are VIP $55, table and booth $45, bar area $35.

J.P. Smoketrain and the Uptown Rhythm And DownHome Blues Band featuring Paul Stanley’s PowerHouse Horns will perform in The Studio at Hawaiian Brian’s. The show time is 8 p.m. and the cover at the door is $10 per person.


Saturday, July 27

Saloon Pilots
First Unitarian Church
The bluegrass band will be performing at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:30. Tickets are $20 at the door. Save your ticket for a chance at a door prize. Food and beverages will be available for sale. For more information, contact Dan Carpenter.

Cut Snake
The Republik
Turning out everything from techy vocal sampled house to breezy disco-pop, Cut Snake will perform at 9 p.m. with supporting artist Dillon Nathaniel. Doors to the Safehouse for ages 21 and up open at 8 p.m. and the Concert Hall for ages 18 and up opens at 9. Ticket prices range from $15 to $25 with a $5 increase the day of the show.

Revel with rockers
Downbeat Lounge
The Granite Saints and 7 Pairs of Iron Shoes will take the stage at 9 p.m. The show is for ages 21 and up and there is no cover charge.  In addition, 7 Pairs of Iron Shoes will also play the lounge again on Aug. 1 at 9 p.m.

Venetian Mask Ball
DJ Nocturna presents the eighth annual The Queen of Wands ball for ages 21 and up. Doors open at 8 p.m. Performances will be held from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Presale tickets are $25 plus tax through July 26 or $30 at the door.

Hawaii State Art Museum
Enjoy the party from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in collaboration with Mori by Art+Flea, including activities throughout the museum, yummy local grinds from food vendors and musicfrom Love Puf, MODO, Imo, Artizen Café by MW, DJ Jetboy and DJ Packo.

KVC Night Market

Shop and dine under the stars from 4 to 8 p.m. It will feature local crafters and vendors, entertainment by hula halau and performing arts schools and more. Vendor fees will benefit Leeward YMCA.

Mele on the Marina
Hawaii Kai Towne Center
The free event will feature entertainment throughout the afternoon. Enjoy hula from Halau Hula ma ka Puuwai a ka Manao at 3 p.m. Kanikapila music favorites Ke Kani Nahe play at 4 p.m. and Kulaiwi takes the stage at 6 p.m.  During the event, the center will also partner with the Arthritis Foundation to raise awareness of how Juvenile Arthritis affects children.

Wave goodbye to summer and say hi to back to school at this event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with food, sales and prizes. Drop-off school supplies or make a cash donation for students in need.

Car and Bike Show
Pearl City AutoZone
808 Camaros will host the #kruzin4kady Car and Bike Show with Cars and Coffee Hawaii. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at AutoZone on Kuala Street. Enter to win the People’s Choice Award. There is a $10 cost at the door to enter the competition but it’s free to vote. All proceeds will be donated to the Hawaii Children’s Cancer Center and Kady’s family.

Jazzing it up in Honolulu
Jazz singer Azure McCall and pianist Tennyson Stephens will perform at Blue Note Hawaii. Tickets are VIP $45, premium $35, loge seating and bar area $25. Shows are at 6:30 and 9 p.m. Doors open at 5 and 8:30 p.m.

Kapena will play from 4 to 6 p.m. In addition, the Chris Mercado Duo will make some music from 9:30 p.m. to midnight.

With many hits through the years on both the R&B and pop charts, the group will play shows on July 29-30. Tickets are VIP $75, table and booth $65, and bar area $55. Show times are at 6:30 and 9 p.m. Doors open at 5 and 8:30 p.m.

The musician will play at this Windward venue from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Live large and laugh it up
Erika Swartzkopf will host comedy open mic night at Downbeat Lounge. The event for ages 21 and up will run from 8 to 10 p.m. and there is no cover charge.

R&B and Blues
Sin Bar
Billy D. Chapman and special guests will perform starting at 9 p.m. in this Nuuanu Avenue, Chinatown venue.

Chris Murphy
Maui Brewing Co.
The performer will play at the Waikiki location from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.


Wednesday, July 31
