Hawaii Independent Cruise Nights with hot rods and classic cars of Oahu will be held Aug. 9 at Manana McDonalds from 6 to 10 p.m. Other Bleizn FX events this weekend are Aug. 10 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Kapolei Commons, and Aug. 11 at Bob’s including an auto and motorcycle swap meet from 8 a.m. to noon.

Saturday, Aug. 10
Slack Key Guitar Festival
The 37th annual festival will be held from noon to 6 p.m. featuring some of Hawaii’s most talented artists. Special admission to the event is a $5 donation to the aquarium.
The performer from Left Alone will return to Chinatown with support from Jonny Random and Nick Danger. The event for ages 21 and up starts at 9 p.m. and the cover charge is $5.
Victoria Ward Park
This 17th annual event from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. will celebrate the food, music, dance and culture of Korea. It will include a kimchi eating contest, a talent contest and booths offering handcrafted products. Scrip will be sold for food, products and some activities. Parking will be available at Ward Village parking lots surrounding the location.
Blue Note Hawaii

West Coast rapper YG will play at 8 p.m. Doors for 21 and up open at 6 p.m. and the concert hall opens at 7 p.m. The show is for all ages accompanied by an adult age 18 and up. Tickets are $45 general admission with a $5 increase the day of the show.

The Elevations, DJ Harlow and special guests Castle Park will jam in Hawaiian Brian’s at 9 p.m. The show is for all ages and the cover charge is $10. Doors open at 8 p.m.

Local ladies of soul, Smokestack, Maryanne Ito, Melodie Soul and Maile will take listeners back to the whimsical age of the 2000s. Good vibes and reggae
