Kurt does his own myth making; a man with an old soul voice in the age of digital everything becoming something else, which is why this focused, brilliantly clear and seemingly candid record is a breath of fresh air. 2016 Pintage Pin Trading Event

Miss Vamp Hawaii 2016
DJ Nocturna and Lana Saldania present the sixth annual Miss Vamp Hawaii beauty pageant at Hawaii Theatre. Event kicks off at 6 p.m. Miss Vamp Hawaii was created in 2010 and is a yearly production held in October to honor the beautiful, creative and unique women living in Hawaii. Similar to other pageants, it features the traditional Q&A, a gown/costume competition, crowning the winners with sashes, trophies and prizes. However, unique to this pageant, the “Moonlight Bathing Lingerie Competition,” is the highlight of the evening honoring the moon, unlike the traditional bathing suit competition. BAMP Project presents The Plastic Cup Boyz live at The Republik tonight and Oct. 27. From the Kevin Hart “Laugh at My Pain” and “Let Me Explain” tours, Joey Wells, Will Spank Horton, and Na’im Lynn are The Plastic Cup Boyz.  Most recently the Plastic Cup Boyz opened for Kevin Hart’s three sold out “What Now? Tour” shows at the Neal S. Blaisdell Arena back in April and May earlier this year. The Rocky Horror Picture Show

Martha Redbone’s Bone Hill: The Concert takes place at 7:30 p.m. at Orvis Auditorium at University of Hawaii at Manoa. Martha Redbone is one of the most vital voices in American Roots music (Village Voice). A multi award-winning musician, the charismatic songstress is celebrated for her tasty gumbo of roots music embodying the folk and country sounds of her childhood in the Appalachian Mountains for Kentucky mixed with the eclectic grit of her teenage years in pre-gentrified Brooklyn. Art & Wine Show
