Kimie Miner Album Launch Party
BAMP Project and Arium present Kimié Miner’s Album Launch Party live at The Republik. Kimie Miner is a singer-songwriter who carries the intimacy of her Hawaiian upbringing and amplifies it through a global lens on her upcoming self-titled album. This album sees Kimié coming into her own as an artist from her journey of world travels, her residency in Los Angeles, and her reconnection to her native Hawaiian roots. HPU Halloween FunFest
The annual Hawai’i Pacific University Halloween FunFest is free and open to the public. Event runs from 5 to 8 p.m. at Aloha Tower Marketplace There will be more than 20 carnival booths run by HPU Student Organizations with games and prizes, music, trick or treating, and costume contests for all ages. Downbeat Lounge hosts Shantytown starting at 9 p.m. featuring Pressure Down Sounds and Rudies Hi-Fi. Now, saying that Shantytown features the selectors Pressure Down Sounds and Rudies hi-fi, only means that you should expect classic Jamaican rocksteady, skinhead reggae, and sprinklings of blue beat ska that night. PINKTOBER Art for a Cause Charity Luncheon
Hard Rock Cafe Honolulu fights breast cancer through PINKTOBER Art for a Cause Charity Luncheon starting at 1 p.m. The event will also hold an art auction featuring one-of-a-kind painted ukuleles and coconut bras. All proceeds from the luncheon and art auction will benefit Kapiolani Women’s Center.
