Humble Soul Live
Bumbaclotkat Productions presents the bumpin’ bass and passionate vocals of local roots reggae artist Humble Soul, performing live at Downbeat Lounge starting at 9 p.m. Admission is $5 for those 21 and older. DJ Kuya Live
Hula’s Bar & Lei Stand presents Picante featuring DJ Kuya performing live. Originally from Seattle, Kuya made his mark in Honolulu by winning the DJ Competition “The Mix Factor” in 2013 at Hula’s beating out 20 other DJs. Explorations in Symmetry
Brue Bar will host a reception for the opening of Explorations in Symmetry, a new exhibit by Hawai‘i based artist and printmaker, Terry Hildebrand. Event takes place from 5 to 7 p.m., and admission is free. The colors, forms, textures and spaces featured in Terry Hildebrand’s Explorations in Symmetry draw inspiration from Islamic art and architecture, Hawaiian and South Pacific Island kapa/tapa fiber printing, and the symmetry often found in nature. Let’s do the Time Warp
Barrio Vintage presents a clothing/accessories sale at The ARTS at Marks Garage leading up to the venue’s The Rocky Horror Picture Show screenings Oct. 26-28 and 31. PhotoCon Hawaii
PhotoCon Hawaii, short for Photography Convention, takes place Oct. 7-8 at Neil S. Blaisdell Center. Also planned are workshops and KeyNote speakers throughout the first week of October at various vendors. Exhibits will include new product and service introductions and demonstrations, workshop seminars and the award ceremony for The Essence of Hawai`i Photo Contest. Canon USA will also conduct photography classes in Photo 101 and Photo 102 classes for all levels held twice a day over the trade show weekend. (photoconhawaii.com)

DJ Ekali Live
Trap King and world-renowned DJ Ekali makes his debut in Hawaii on his Babylon World Tour. Event takes place at Hawaiian Brian’s at 9 p.m. After being accepted as the first Canadian participant in Tokyo’s Red Bull Music Academy in 2014, Vancouver DJ Ekali has shaken up the electronic community with his innovative productions and his captivating live performances. Electric Palms Hawaii presents Deorro performing live at The Republik. Singer-songwriter Kimié Miner, will be performing for the upcoming fundraiser Feast in the Field for Children in Foster Care, which runs from 5 to 9 p.m. at Kualoa Ranch. All proceeds from the event will benefit Family Programs Hawaii, which provides services to over 4,000 children and families in the foster care system yearly, across the state of Hawaii.
