Margaret Cho: psyCHO Tour
Margaret Cho’s The psyCHO Tour makes its way to Neal Blaisdell Concert Hall, 8 p.m. show, $45, $55, $65, in advance, increase day of show, plus applicable fees. An accomplished performer in all formats, Margaret Cho could be called the “Queen of all Media,” having conquered the worlds of film, television, books and theatre. Opening Reception for Makakolu

Blast from the Past
Jed Roa Events and Hawaii Escrow and Title presents Blast from the Past, featuring three of Honolulu’s top bands playing hits from the ‘60s, ’70s and ‘80s. The event takes place at Queen Kapiolani Hotel Akala Ballroom and doors open at 6 p.m. Augie Rey kicks the show off at 7 p.m., followed by The Rhythm Klub and then Funkshun. Curren$y Live
Tastemaker Live & Sean Healy present “The Canal Street Confidential Tour” with Curren$y performing live at The Republik. Born Shante Anthony Franklin and raised in New Orleans, Curren$y was originally signed to Master P’s No Limit label, but in 2005 he made the move to Lil Wayne and Birdman’s Cash Money imprint, Young Money. Kaleidoscope
DJ Jet Boy presents Honolulu’s longest-running indie night in Kaleidoscope, which starts at 9 p.m. at Downbeat Lounge. This month is a special hip-hop edition, featuring acts from the local hip-hop and beats scene, including Creed Chameleon, Ohtoro and Kwalified Emcee. Ohtoro is a Honolulu-based producer and performer with hip-hop crew Super Groupers. Creed Chameleon is often a promoter’s first choice for performing and opening for big hip hop artists such as Wu-Tang Clan, Dilated Peoples, Talib Kweli and more. Fourth Annual Turkey Drive
Chris Day, owner of the O‘ahu Swim Academy (OSA), along with Matt Johnson, owner of O‘ahu Fresh (OF), and Don “Murph” Murphy, owner of Murphy’s Bar and Grill, team up for the Fourth Annual Turkey Drive to collect frozen turkeys to benefit needy families of Hawaii during the holiday season. Murphy’s Bar and Grill is offering a complimentary $5 gift certificate for every frozen turkey donated. For those who donate more than five frozen turkeys, OF is offering a free one-week subscription of locally grown fresh fruit and vegetables and the OSA is offering one free private swim session and swim goggle ($39 value).
