Nervo Live
Electric Palms Hawaii presents Nervo performing live at The Republik. Starting out in the mid-2000’s, Australian sisters Mim and Liv Nervo made their name by writing smash singles for artists like Ke$ha and Kylie Minogue, remixing superstars like Katy Perry and Thirty Seconds to Mars, and joining forces with David Guetta to co-write his Grammy-winning “When Love Takes Over.” Show starts at 9 p.m. for those 18 and older. Dunes & Animal Mother Release
Honolulu rockers Animal Mother and Dunes celebrate the dual release of their albums in Downbeat Lounge, along with indie rock young-bloods Already Sweaty and Freaky Fluff. Classic Holiday Show With A Twist
Hula’s Bar and Lei Stand, in conjunction with Rhonda Corner and Miss Catwings, puts on a classic holiday show with a twist starting at 10 p.m. The evening features drag, burlesque and juggling, as well as special guests Kinetic Flow, Sage Bee and more. Festival of Lights Boat Parade
Row on over to Hawaii Kai Towne Center for this year’s annual Festival of Lights Boat Parade, sponsored by 7000 Hawaii Kai Drive, East Honolulu’s newest luxury rental apartment community. The sail-abration takes place from 4 to 8 p.m. and will feature a procession of brightly decorated boats as they make their way through the Hawaii Kai Marina. Secret Record Store
Secret Record Store sets up shop in The Arts at Mark’s Garage. Buy vinyl, listen to live mixes and take part in the HoliDAZE Chinatown Market, presented by Art + Flea with support from Mayor Kirk Caldwell. Event runs from noon to 5 p.m. and is open to all ages. Secret Record Store is a mobile pop-up store that sells vinyl albums that range from latin jazz to punk rock to Motown soul to reggae. Holidaze Chinatown Market
Nuuanu and Pauahi streets will turn into an Art + Flea spectacular from noon to 5 p.m. The shopping event will be free for all ages and will feature local fashion and art vendors, entertainment with special offerings, food, and more from participating merchants in Chinatown. Additionally, Mark’s Garage will be hosting a scavenger hunt in Chinatown.
