Let’s Go Crazy: A Prince Tribute
Bacardi, Alt 105.9 and KUMU 94.7 present Let’s Go Crazy: A Prince Tribute featuring Tim Rose performing live at The Republik. Tim Rose and his band will be performing a full 75-90 minute set of nothing but Prince covers to headline an evening dedicated to his Royal Purpleness. Tim Rose is a classically trained, blues-raised James Dean lookalike with a crooning, Sinatra style voice. Show starts at 9 p.m. and tickets are $10 in advance, plus applicable fees, with an increase the day of the show. The Lab: Experiments in Photography
The 11th annual exhibition featuring the work of prominent and emerging Native Hawaiian artists at The ARTS at Marks garage. Curated by Healoha Johnson, The Lab: Experiments in Photography will feature the  photography work of Kapulani Landgraf, the MAMo Awardee for 2016, as well as two emerging photographers, Ualani Davis and Dru Hara.  Exhibit runs until May 28. CDT presents their newest contemporary dance project featuring local dancers and choreographers. This weekend of dance will explore the concept of variables. Changing factors such as space, time, circumstance, and emotion create intriguing movement and relationships. May 27-28 shows start at 7:30 p.m. at The ARTS at Marks Garage. Memorial Day Guest Uriel Ramirez

Purple PRINCE Tribute Party
LUX at the Trump hosts a Purple Prince tribute party starting at 7 p.m. (fireworks go off at 7:45 p.m.). Dress code is enforced and those 21 and older are welcome. Celebrate the life and music of Prince with selections curated by DJs Dana Kruse and Ohana. DJs will play the best of Prince, his collaborators and other ‘80s pop stars mixed with the most popular and recent dance hits. Live Art Show and Wine Tasting
The newly renovated Courtyard by Marriott Waikiki Beach is pleased to announce the hosting of a special live art show and wine tasting onsite from 5:30 to 7 p.m. featuring paintings and jewelry designs of famed Honolulu artist, Lynn Weir. Spada Bar & Restaurant, a Waikiki Italian fusion bistro located within the Courtyard by Marriott Waikiki Beach, will curate the wine tasting menu for the event. Miss Representation Live Screening
Miss Representation explores how mainstream media contribute to the under-representation of women in influential positions by circulating limited and often disparaging portrayals of women. Katie Couric, Rachel Maddow, Condoleeza Rice, Gloria Steinem, and others are featured in the film and discuss sexism in American society and the media. Event starts at 4 p.m. at Tenney Theatre. Lana Saldania and Live Star Nation
80s Pop Muzik presents Lana Saldania and Live Star Nation with special performances by Tzana Saldania at Bar 35. Having written over 40 songs and serving as the lead vocalist in three bands, it’s safe to say Lana Saldania knows her way around music. Spinning the best of the ‘80s new wave, post punk, industrial, dark ‘80s, goth and more will be DJs Nocturna, Native Girl and Shadowfaxxx.
