The Birth of Sake Showing
Sake lovers are invited to embark on a journey into the world of artisan sake-making and discover what it takes to preserve a 2,000-year-old tradition. Award-winning cinematic documentary The Birth of Sake premiers at Honolulu Museum of Art’s Doris Duke Theatre at 7 p.m. The richly immersive 120-minute documentary follows a wintry brewing season at Yoshida Shuzo, the family-owned brewery that has made sake under the “Tedorigawa” label for the last 144 years.
