Kool John and P-Lo Live
BAMP Project presents Kool John and P-Lo performing live at The Republik. Kool John, P-Lo, Sage the Gemini, Skipper (or $kip), CJ, singer Rossi, Dave Steezy and Jay Ant, with rapper Iamsu! first starting to found and organize the group in 2011. P-Lo is a founding member of the Bay Area collective HBK Gang (Iamsu!, Sage The Gemini, Kehlani and more). This hip-hop collective is primarily composed of friends who met while attending high school in the San Francisco Bay Area, specifically Richmond. Bingo Players Live
Electric Palms Hawaii presents Bingo Players performing live at The Republik. Though they didn’t start out as DJs, once the demand grew for EMD act Bingo Player to play out live, they learned how to mix on CDJs. Soon, they became regulars on the EDM circuit, playing massive festivals like Electric Daisy Carnival, Tomorrowland, and Coachella. Fifth Annual Pacific Ink and Art Expo
This summer heats up with the fifth annual Pacific Ink and Art Expo taking place again at the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall. The family-friendly expo features attractions and vendors offered as well as the best tattoo artists from Hawai’i, the mainland and around the world showcasing live tattooing all under one roof and in one place. Celebrity artists slated to appear include Megan Massacre (NY Ink), Clint Cummings (Ink Master), Danny Dringenberg (Exclusive PIAE tattoo machine builder), Jesse Smith (Ink Master), Mark Logenecker (Ink Master), Big Cheeze (Ink Master), Big Gus (Tattoo Nightmares) not to mention industry living legends, Lyle Tuttle, Rick Walters, Shanghai Kate, Freddy Negrete and more. 11th Hour Live

CONTACT 2016
Now in its third year, CONTACT 2016 was originally presented at the Honolulu Museum of Art School in April and May 2016 and is now being reinterpreted in a smaller exhibition at The ARTS at Marks Garage. It will be on display until Aug. 27. This year’s theme was Foreign and Familiar, exploring themes of cultural exchange and migratory movements, in and out of Hawaii, not attached to any particular time period in Hawaiiʻs history.

Serpico & The Sinners and Smokestack

Star Elite Cage Fighting Matches
Star Elite Cage Fighting hosts a round of MMA matches at FilCom Center in Waipahu. Main event will be Nick Terry vs. Rylan Fonoti; co-main event is Ricky Ing vs. Joey Vonblankenburg. Marques Wyatt Live
Electric Palms Hawaii Legacy Series presents Marques Wyatt performing live at The Safehouse. Sonic love travels in many dimensions and as it relates to music, Marques Wyatt is a seminal pioneer as undoubtedly amongst the most respected DJ’s in the United States and a West Coast legend. In addition to producing some of LA’s most legendary clubs/events, many associate him with “DEEP,” the illustrious event that he nurtured in his hometown of Los Angeles-thriving and continuing today for well over 16 years. Pokémon GO at SALT
Pokémon GO has taken Hawaii by storm, and SALT at Our Kaka‘ako will be celebrating this massive phenomenon with the Pokémon GO Fest from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Both Pokémon GO trainers and fans of the game are invited to this fun filled event, which will feature tons of Pokémon themed activities and food for friends and families of all ages to enjoy. Admission is free, and live music from local DJ Romeo Valentine will be available in the SALT barn area, with Pokémon themed activities—including a Pokémon costume contest, Instagram raffle, special day-of deals from the SALT merchants, prize giveaways and photo opportunities with the Hawaii Pokémon GO girls who will come as Pikachu, Charmander, Squirtle and Bulbasaur.
