Ring Girl: 4/11/14

His adrenaline rush comes not from being in the ring, staring his opponent face to face. Rather, Issac Worth’s favorite part about each bout is the walk out. “I’ve been a fan of pro wrestling since I was 7, so the walk out always echoes of the epic entrances of say Hulk Hogan or Roddy Piper. So the walk out has always been fun and interesting to me,” he says. Worth may have experienced a setback, but he knows his path is clear. He comes off a recent loss at SEC and Man Up & Stand Up March 29 against Chivas Antoque, but he has high hopes for what the future holds. “God willing, I’ll be able to showcase the full range of my abilities,” says the Kauai native. Worth, whose current record stands at 3-5, fights out of No Way Fight School, and when he’s not hard at work training, you can find him tutoring at Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School. During his training days, he works on a variety of skills. “I don’t have a specialty,” he admits, “but I make sure to be even in all my skills and prefer to be varied in my skills/attack.” A veteran fighter of eight years, Worth trains every day of the week. He says his aim is to train smart to be at full capacity by game day. “I’d just like to say I’m thankful for the opportunities I have been blessed with by God in all this,” he adds, “and hope that in this sport that I enjoy, I can do some form of good for those around me, as well.” … SEC and Man Up & Stand Up head back to The Fix April 12 (Saturday) for another round of action. Headlining the event at Tiare Kamanakapu and Chabrielle Gushi, and Jessie Lindley and Carlos Perez star in the co-main event. For more information visit SEC on Facebook.
