In the dark of night, Chad Ries’ custom Camry can give you an awful fright. In the spirit of Halloween, he’s taken this 2012 Toyota to spooktacular levels with an overdose of macabre detail that is sure to give those around a scare.

Perhaps it’s appropriate that this ride is bathed in House of Kolor White Ice Pearl with Blue Ghosting Pearl across the ultra-rare XSP body kit. This one-of-a-kind kit is practically unavailable and adds a touch of aggressiveness that gives the Camry a feeling of forward movement. Combined with the rear diffuser and color-matched rear roof spoiler, the bodylines are sleek and sharp, which offers a serious contrast to the delightfully disturbing ghost that just so happens to be hanging around. She’s probably an import enthusiast as well.

Ries has become something of an LED specialist and photos do his considerable handmade setups no justice. The front headlights are a color-shifting miasma of spectral proportions, hidden behind a sexy translucent chameleon tint. Controlled by an iPhone app, they’re set to a flickering reddish hue that’s most appropriate for this haunted holiday shoot.

Sitting inside is just as creepy as looking at the outside due to the custom interior decorations. The interior also continues the electronics theme with a Pioneer double din, dual headrest monitors with DVD player, diamond stitched front and rear flooring and Wet Okole seat covers to protect the goods.

Thanks to an ensemble of components including an Airrex digital suspension and module, the body is dropped onto holographic 20-by-8.5 MRR HR2 wheels custom painted by Jace at JSpeck Kustoms and wrapped in Toyota Extense tires. Neo chrome locking spiked lug nuts, center caps, and other assorted bits are spread liberally throughout the build.

The real handiwork is in the rear trunk, which has been decked out in Halloween regalia. Amid a full-on display of Hannya demon masks, spider webs and hanging skeletons are dual 444c Viaair compressors and a 5-gallon Seamless Suspension air tank. The entire trunk setup is given a menacing LED glow thanks to the further machinations of Ries with an enormous and fully functional LED color panel that’s capable of switching between an enormous amount of color combinations.

Although this is more than enough for most, no matter what car event Ries attends, his daughter, Penelope, is right alongside him in her very own super custom Bentley Continental GTC replica. This baby has everything from custom paint, wheels and LED exterior and interior lights. It’s absolutely adorable while giving his little one a head start into the world of auto enthusiasm.

This creepy setup isn’t just for show, it’s really all for the keiki — Ries is actually hosting an awesome Trunk or Treat that’s happening this weekend in Pearl City where this ride will sit alongside other appropriately garbed vehicles of the night to give out candy and provide a safe place for the kiddos to trick or treat. Regardless of the reason, this daily driven family car is just a ghostly good time.
