If there’s one way to describe Justin Nishimura’s 2013 Hyundai Genesis, it’s sensory overload. Visually and audibly, this car is candy to the eyes and music to the ears. The automobile is a three-year project that has been in a constant state of flux as Nishimura pursues perfection with his ride.

Of course, Nishimura isn’t new to the modification scene. He’s owned several show cars in the past, but he’s taken this award-winning ride to the next level and beyond.  The list of modifications done to the Genesis is extensive, but that makes sense since Nishimura’s goal is to make a bold statement when it comes to being a KDM Hyundai owner.

The car’s 3.8L engine — naturally aspirated from the factory — is now fully turbo’d thanks to a tremendous number of modifications. For example, this is the only model on the island to sport a 6266 Ball Bearing Turbo that is pushing 500+HP to the pavement. In addition, a 100-shot of nitrous is available courtesy of a svelte custom Nitrous Express installation.

But despite possessing a ride with so much go, Nishimura believed it would be absolutely appropriate to beef up the show. The Genesis barely looks like the same car because of the inclusion of Hawaii’s first ARK SOLUS wide body kit. Additional bits include an ARK Legato front bumper, ARK carbon fiber trunk, wind splitters, a Seibon side skirts, an RK Sport Dual layer carbon hood. The end result is absolutely stunning thanks to the Hyundai’s glossy paint that practically drips with shine. The afterglow from the LEDs distributed throughout the car makes the entire ride pop with color.

The cockpit is extreme and features Sparco racing seats, Sparco 4-point harnesses and a steering set that includes an NRG CF steering wheel, quick-release and hub. Further monitoring is provided courtesy of Prosport Evo gauges (AFR, boost, oil temp, oil pressure, etc.).

Take a look at the backseat and you’ll be greeted by a fully molded and glowing custom stereo installation with four 8-inch SKAR MA8 D2 subs as well additional speaker components plus amps. The trunk continues the modification madness and is truly a sight to behold. Four painted steel tanks are mounted flush to the top of the trunk while an incredible custom triple sub-floor shows off the Airrex Air Suspension Management System.

Thanks to the air system, the car is able to drop fully to the ground, tucking the incredibly rare and custom 19-inch Avant-Garde wheels that showcase a F433 carbon outer lip and rotational concave interior-painted gloss black. All of this sits on top of Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2 tires.

Indeed, this Hyundai Genesis is almost too much for the natural senses — a huge series of well-matched, complementary pieces that have turned this sporty RWD coupe into an absolute monster of a show car.
