Tattoo Rich is an automotive enthusiast who has spent the majority of his time behind the wheel of high-horsepower American muscle cars. In addition to driving Corvettes and Hellcats, he also dabbled in exotics such as the Lotus Evora and Ferrari 360 Spider F1.  He’s had a lot of fun playing with his automotive toys, so it may come as somewhat of a surprise that this 2014 Nissan GT-R Black is his very first import.

The legendary Godzilla is the crème de la crème — the best of the best in the import world. Rich had been aware of this Japanese supercar for a long while, but he’s never had the inclination to pull the trigger until recently.

Nowadays, this gunmetal beast is Rich’s daily driven GT-R, and he has major plans for it. In its current form, the car is impressive, but what Rich really desires is to turn his ride into the meanest GT-R on the island.

A GT-R is a monster-in-stock form with 545HP on tap. Rich, however, has slowly upgraded the car with tasty components to increase its power levels. More changes are in order, but the vehicle is already prepped with custom intakes — including a downpipe and mid-pipe, which help to free up horsepower. He’s even added 1000cc injectors to allow more fuel to be pumped in via the upgraded fuel pump. A Cobb Access Port paves the way for unlimited tuning potential once additional modifications are completed. With a zero-to-60 time of 3.1 second, this ride is a straight-up rocket.

The Black Edition is a beauty to behold as the interior has been fitted with gorgeous Recaro seats that have been set apart with red leather inserts. The steering wheel and shift knob are also presented in matching red pieces while carbon fiber inlays adorn the dash. The cockpit is full of technical innovation, thanks to the amazing assortment of switches and that sumptuous LCD monitor full of goodies.

The car rides low on coilovers grafted to the chassis for increased handling performance. And although the GT-R runs static, its wheels — enormous 20-inch Ventini RF1.2s — and tires are practically flush with the fenders. These gorgeous pieces are surrounded in BF Goodrich g=Force Comp-2s in 285/35/ZR20 goodness. A cool and standout feature is the white lettering — NISSAN GTR35 — that appears on each tire.

Rich said his motto is simple: “Follow your dreams, and one day they will happen.” And in the case of this GT-R, it’s crystal clear that Rich’s dreams came true.
