The Nissan Z car is a lineage that dates all the way back to 1969. It has always been a sports car and for six generations, it has been one of Nissan’s most recognizable models. For Ginette Oliberos, it was the perfect car to use as the showpiece for her and her husband, Shane.

Oliberos has always been a fan of the Nissan-related brand of cars — she’s owned quite a few different models including the Infiniti G35 and the Nissan Murano. So when the 370z was first released, she admits to falling in love with it, however, it wasn’t appropriate while caring for a very young baby. Nevertheless, Oliberos remained confident and driven, until everything seemed to align up. Just a few years later she was presented with the opportunity to pick up this 2009 Nissan 370Z and naturally, she jumped on it.

Obviously, the showpiece is the incredibly insane color-shifting vinyl that adorns every inch of the car.  For you see, Ginette and Shane own a company called XERO Wraps and laying down crazy, sexy vinyl is what they do. Called Psychedelic for a reason, the curves of the 370Z were perfect for showing off the sumptuous colors this vinyl can create under direct light. Morpheus Black is applied to key areas such as the wing and bumper ducts.

Although I’ve covered vinyl wraps before, I’ve never really asked about the process. It’s an incredibly intricate process that requires the same amount of preparation as painting. The vehicle is torn down to separate components and then cleaned thoroughly. Components are taken apart just enough to ensure that enough access is provided to get the wrap everywhere it needs to be. The bubble-free vinyl is then stretched over the requisite parts and into place. The finish work involves ensuring everything is tucked into place appropriately leaving a pristine, practically invisible, vinyl application. A nano-rubber membrane then coats the car, thereby protecting it further from the elements.

Obviously, this ride comes with several modifications for both power and performance. These include an HKS Titanium exhaust with twin pipes, a ZSpeed Performance HD CSC. HKS Hipermax coilovers allow the ride height to be adjusted while increasing cornering ability. ONEighty NYC provide the lights with some custom HID specification units.

Tucked under the 370Z’s enormous fender wheels are Work Meister 19 by 9.5 wheels in the front with 19 by 11 wheels in the rear. Super sweet Hankook Ventus V12 EVO2s are wrapped all around the already gorgeous wheels. In addition to the exterior wrap, the huge brake calipers have also been wrapped in 3M Reflective Red.

For Ginette & Shane, this car is the perfect representation of their work ideal. They aim to take cars that are “Plain Janes” and turn them into one-of-a-kind works of art. You simply can’t miss this Z.
