Last year, StreetPulse featured a Lamborghini purchased by Choo family members Steve, Charlene and Puna — a smoking-hot exotic they planned on showcasing at the StreetPulse Hottest Rides competition. Unfortunately, the installation of the fully custom fiber body-kit took longer than expected to complete, and that ultimately forced the family to nix the car’s unveiling at the show.

But some things are simply worth the wait. And to be the presence of this stunning 650+HP AWD 2002 Lamborghini Murciélago is purely electrifying, as there’s a palpable sense of barely contained energy emanating from this low-slung, yellow fantasy automobile.

Although the Choos have long owned an enormous stable of legit performance vehicles, this ride marks their first Lamborghini. Steve Choo has always enjoyed the history of the Lamborghini and what it stands for, but it wasn’t until other family members laid eyes on one at a SEMA show that they fell for this beauty of a ride — and hard.

With extreme intent in mind, the family was able to find a perfect low mileage example with just a little over 3,000 miles on it. The Lamborghini was garaged, kept in its original condition (it still had the window sticker on it) and conveniently located in Hawaii. The Choos immediately picked up the ride and set about making a super car even more super.

“The whole point was to take this Lamborghini and do something incredible with it,” he explained. “We don’t keep anything stock. We have to make it ours. We’re going to do what is aesthetically pleasing to us. We have a huge motivation to make it stand out.”

The build sheet hasn’t changed much since its last feature; the intended upgrades were completed one after another and the end product is absolutely phenomenal. Since then, the biggest additions were the Airrex Digital Air Suspension kit, which allows this beast to handle the tough roads of Oahu, as well as a glorious full surround LED kit, which adds to the car’s brilliance.

A super sleek carbon fiber wing that matches the color-matched carbon fiber kit has also been installed for even more pent-up aggression. Additionally, the car has been lathered in 10 pounds of clear coat for a lustrous paint job that is like looking into a pool of radiance while those incredible custom color-matched Lexani Forged LF113s add even more wow factor.

This Lamborghini has to be seen in person to be appreciated — has to be driven to understand how amazing it is. And although it took over a year to build, the end product is an amalgamation of a family’s individual styles and ideas. In a word, this car is absolutely wicked.
