Why stop a good thing? That’s the question you have to ask Richard Dzao when it comes to his 2001 Honda Accord. This is his first and only modified ride, which has been in development since the Honda was bone-stock fresh off the factory floor. Fourteen years of constant improvement and modification are wrapped up in the sick visuals, which have made it an Accord unlike any other.

Visually, it assaults your eyes with a dark emerald green paintjob lathered over some of the wildest kit I’ve ever seen on an Accord. The Razzi front lip is aggressive, fitted with Carbon Creations canards and a front splitter. A Seibon carbon fiber hood is accented with cf eyelids amid a set of EGR Fender flares that have been molded into the body. The lights have been fully modified with custom black housing, retrofitted headlights with demon eye, halo LEDs. The TYC taillights flare out from underneath a low-slung Top Speed GT carbon fiber wing.

Let’s not kid ourselves: This thing looks like a beast, but does it have the go with the show? Certainly, as it sports a COMPTECH Eaton Roots Supercharger. In fact, the entire engine bay is filled to the brim with go fast and visual COMPTECH goodies. A Flowmasters high flow catalytic converter is mated to a Top Speed Dual catback that sports slick dual exhausts tinged with burnt titanium tips. The mod list is too extensive to list, but let’s just say this baby has it where it counts.

This is what I consider a feature complete car. Not only is the exterior and performance modified to a high level, but so has the interior. One drop into the Bride Low Max Racing Seats and you’re assaulted by a plethora of Autometer C2 gauges, an NRG Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel and Quick Release, as well as little bits of carbon fiber spread throughout the cabin. The entire interior has been reupholstered with Bride fabric including the panels, rear seats and center armrest. Diamond plate floor mats gleam from the floor space while a Sony double-din receiver pumps out the sounds to the incredible ICE package.

The ICE package includes some heavy hitting Soundstream Tarantula T5 12-inch subwoofers and amps housed within a full Kustomz Unlimited Sub box. It’s all seamlessly integrated with the Kustomz Unlimited EAI Air Ride suspension and e-level management system that drops this car to within an inch of its life. It’s practically factory finish and high quality.

Rounding out the package are a few baller 19-inch CCW 505A Hybrids that are fitted with Hankook Venus Tires at 225/35ZR19s in the front and rear. Stopping power has been improved with a Wilwood BBK with 13-inch slotted and drilled rotors along with EBC “Red Stuff” brake pads.

The modifications in this car are simply exhausting and extensive. It’s obvious that the ride has been a constant evolution. The usual is to go VIP Inspired with these rides, but this is a totally different beast altogether. Richard enjoys the car scene, but believes that it’s all about doing what you want to regardless of other’s opinions. “To each their own,” he says.
