The Honda Accord, a stalwart competitor in the import market, is recognized as one of the most reliable and best-selling cars ever made. Since its debut in 1976, this model has morphed from a basic compact to a full-size luxury vehicle.

But Arnold Ing has taken this automobile to another level. He purchased the Accord brand new in 2008, and has used it as his daily driver since then. Maintaining a car that is swathed in pristine black is a tough job, but Ing has made it a point to take good care of his ride.

The automobile features several upgrades that help to enhance the visuals. A Honda HFP lip kit and side skirts have been added while a sleek custom diffuser has been molded into place. The OEM grill has been replaced with a straight black custom model while a rear roof spoiler complements the sleek lines. Upping the ante are the installations of 6K HID low beams and 3K HID fog lights.

The interior is immaculate and only mildly modified. A push-start system has been installed for easy ignition while the Accuair controller sits within plain view. All of the lights have been swapped out with LED replacements. Meanwhile, a Bvlgari clock, taken straight from a Cadillac Escalade, has been swapped in. The interior also features a Pioneer double-din with Apple car play, which feeds through Rockford Fosgate Amps into a set of 10-inch Rockford subwoofers. All of this has been tucked away neatly, thanks to a custom rear-trunk installation.

Along with the audio, a mind-blowingly original air suspension has been installed. The twin Viair 380c compressors are hidden with the focal point being the custom-wrapped air tank, which is part of a Sushi theme replete with chopsticks and a bamboo mat. All of this is visible through custom-installed plexiglass. Accuair eLevel air management and a Dakota digital gauge provide the lift so that the car’s suspension remains fully operational.

The engine gets a power boost from an AEM intake with a spacer as well as a Magnaflow Quad Exhaust, which is absolutely stunning. Munky Works Garage gets the credit for the engine setup and tuning.

Contrasting brightly with the slammed body are enormous 19×9.5 Weds Maverick 405s. At the rear of the car are 19×10 tires while an enormous Ceika front and rear big brake kit peeks from behind. Ing chose Ohtsu 8000 tires for the contact patch; the tires are measured at 225/35R19s in front and 245/35R/19s in back.

This Honda Accord is clean, functional and luxurious without being gaudy or cheesy. Ing, who views the Accord as a great learning experience, plans to upgrade to an Infiniti Q60 soon. He said that he hopes the next owner will enjoy the ride as much as he has.
