Ethan Kerfoot is a dedicated import aficionado. Since purchasing his first car in 2011, he’s gone full bore into the hobby, amassing a small collection of rides many of us would be happy to have. The 19-year-old automobile enthusiast is currently the proud owner of two 350Zs, a Nissan 240SX, a sport bike and this gloriously modified 2003 Infiniti G35.

Born and raised in Kapolei, Ethan became a fan of the modified G35 while shopping on eBay. Thanks to the encouragement of his friends, he decided to upgrade from a Honda Accord to something possessing more power, starting with the purchase of a twin turbo kit for a G35. Following a bit of wheeling and dealing, he was finally able to acquire the ride that graces these pages.

His chief inspiration came from the engine bay of the G35 — a gleaming pile of interconnected goodness. To start, Ethan had the engine enhanced considerably with the inclusion of Greddy modifications, including two 18g TDO5H turbos, turbo manifolds, external wastegates, a front mount intercooler and 440cc injectors to help provide car with a little extra oomph.

Additional engine mods include a Walbro 225 high-flow fuel pump, an HKS SS BOV and steel-braided hose lines all around. Kinetics high flow cats are mated to a custom 2.75-inch exhaust with Camaro tips for some definite growl. The transmission is even treated with some love, thanks to oversized transmission lines and a cooler for extra stability. The entire system is handled by a Greddy eManage system, which helps keep everything under control.

The exterior is your first visual cue that this ride has plenty of show with its go. Adorning the body are a Kumura Z front bumper, a BMW M5 carbon fiber front lip and Chargespeed side skirts. A fat carbon fiber rear diffuser has been modified to fit and provides some serious airflow control. The car also features several extra modifications, including a VIS CF vented hood, a Seibon CF roof spoiler and an HR duckbill trunk. Of special note are the 280Z wide fender flares that really give the ride a wide body stance.

The vehicle’s stance is aggressively controlled with a combination of Tein coilovers and a posh camber kit for some wicked angle. Shiny blue Brembo 4-pot front and 2-pot rear brakes mated to drilled and slotted rotors peek from behind the massively black AME 19-inch wheels.

Truthfully, this ride has more modifications than possible to cover, but the interior has been given a once-over with a carbon-fiber layover kit, and a 3-gauge pod pillar fitted with Glow Shift Boost, Oil, as well as Air/Fuel gauges. The show and go also has the sounds to roll with and features a set of Rockford Fosgate components, highlighted by a room-shaking T1 subwoofer.

Ethan went to great lengths to keep everything in the car named “Gia” coordinated in black; in fact, Gia is monstrous in appearance and swallows light like a black hole. The car does, however, come at a price as it has received more than 70 citations. Ethan doesn’t mind this inconvenience, however. It’s the price you pay in order to hear those sweet twin turbos scroll.
