Frederick Hall woke up one day bored, joined the military, and with the proceeds, bought a 2006 Infiniti G35. Granted, that wasn’t all in one year, but it’s essentially what happened. His first duty station happened to be Schofield Barracks and as a young military man, getting around can be a little difficult without a ride.

Hall happened to have a list of cars he could realistically expect to purchase but finding his perfect ride was difficult. After a test drive he was tempted to purchase a 350Z, however, the G35 offered the better deal, as well as rear seats.

This ride was purchased with the intent to modify. Most important to Hall was to open the car’s performance potential, so he opted to install a Borla catback exhaust. Wanting more grunt and growl, he also installed a Kinetix Racing Velocity intake manifold as well as a Jim Wolf Technology pop charger. This really changed the sound and feel of the car, giving it a much more aggressive take when stomping on the throttle.

The suspension is static Megan Racing coilovers combined with SPC rear camber arms. Being static means constantly dealing with the difficulty of Oahu’s roads, but Hall made it work by installing VIP Modular RC13 Wheels set at 19 by 9.5 for the front and the rear with super wide 19 by 10s at a +12 offset. The rubbers are choice Goodyear Eagle RS-As & F1s that really help to put the stickiness to the ground. Stopping power is upgraded through the addition of a Brembo Big Brake kit all around.

Of course, most noticeable is the luxurious Metallica Purple wrap that was handled by Wrapwerx Hawaii. This gorgeous modification casts off a purple brilliance that matches nicely with the carbon fiber vented hood by Seibon and the front bumper from Top Secret. The roof is also wrapped in black which matches the super custom OEM headlights and sexy rear tails. The rears are especially nice as most aftermarket solutions can look and feel quite chintzy — which isn’t the case for these babies thanks to their quality design.

The interior features swapped LEDs for custom lighting, as well as a Kenwood touchscreen head unit. This is part of a custom rear setup with a 1600 Watt Boss amp and a 10-inch JL Audio W3 subwoofer to pump out the sounds.

Hall really stressed that when it comes to modifying any ride, he feels that it’s an expression of its owner and who they are. “I feel like as long you like what you’re doing, then that should make you happy. I personally do whatever I like with my ride. Everyone should,” said Hall.
