Let’s just get this out of the way — you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics, most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer’s head. If you’re a Rick and Morty fan, you’ll know what I’m talking about. Now, get your backpack, get your stuff together and check out this incredible 2018 BMW S1000RR owned by Eric Hunt.

I would never have thought of it, but it makes sense. A Rick and Morty-themed sports bike is perfect. The immensely popular and highly adult animated comedy comes at you fast, with tons of wit and humor. Sometimes it comes at you so fast that you can miss it if you’re not paying attention.

It’s Hunt’s favorite show. He’s a huge fan, and has watched all the episodes multiple times over. He can repeat some of them verbatim. He’s followed the creators and content for years, and it’s this love for the show that inspired him to take his bike to another level.

This BMW is covered in a Rick and Morty-themed 3M vinyl printed wrap, which was created by Curvaceous Wraps and installed by Ikaika Lee Kwai, who took the insanely detailed design and applied it to the fairings and body panels of the bike.

Rick and Morty are featured prominently on both the left and right side, and the bike features additional props and characters such as Mr. Meeseeks and other aliens. It truly makes this bike look unique. It wasn’t cheap either, but it has definitely set this bike apart from the rest.

Hunt is fascinated with BMWs, thanks to their design and performance. BMWs are positioned in the top-end power realm of sport bikes. Hunt has also helped the low end and other tuning points, by installing a Brentuning Stage 3 ECU flash. Because of this flash, the bike now has quicker throttle response, and less dead space between shifts, and the traction control is tailored for every gear, allowing for less slip. All in all, it gives the stock bike a total “wake-up call.”

Hunt also added additional modifications, such as an EK NX ring chain with 16/46 final drive gearing. NGK iridium spark plugs and a Sprint high flow filter have also been installed to provide appropriate air and spark for the combustion process. A stunning, super-expensive Akrapovic full-titanium exhaust was also installed — which dropped 30 pounds from the bike. Hunt also added HP forged wheels fitted with Dunlop Q4 tires.

It’s a sports bike, which means that it already has extreme acceleration. However, Hunt really enjoys cornering, which is all about technique — catching the right line and position — instead of all-out speed.  There are a few corners out there that provide plenty of opportunity to enjoy this style of riding, while also dragging a knee as only sports bikers can do.

Hunt is into this bike because it gives him a hobby where he can zone out in a moment of zen. He loves all of the aspects of the bike, from the handling and feel, to the fact that he’s invested a ton into making the bike his own. Returning to a term from the Rick and Morty show, Hunt has all he needs to get “schwifty” with it.
