Preston Ader likes to stand out from the pack.  Raised with a natural affinity for all things automotive, he grew up at Hawaii Raceway Park watching his father race VW bugs and eventually gravitated towards the drifting scene. He owned one of the rare Nissan 240SX convertibles and was already into making statements.  From there, he progressed to trucks and then into the FWD crowd with a converted Integra Type R.  After a wild night on the town and a blown motor in the Type R, he moved onto the VIP scene and wet his chops with a 2001 Lexus LS430.

Fast forward a few years and with a model upgrade, he now snaps necks with this fully modified and custom built Lexus LS430.

“I like to think that I took it to the next level…I went all-out” says Preston.  When he says “all-out” he’s not kidding. This car features an epic list of custom modifications that have taken this car to the top of the class.

Immediately noticeable is the Custom Candy Red gloss that has been draped over the worked metal.  Every body line you see, including the custom fender vents is custom steel…no add-on components…this is hand built by NuSkool FX.  The one-off Central Pine body kit features a shortened front bumper with custom DRLs, side-skirts and rear bumper.  A Junction Produce roof spoiler has been added along with an update of badges to the JDM spec Celsior.

The body has been dropped onto polished Work Equip wheels fitted at 19×11 in the front and 19×11 in the rear.  Of special note is the fact that the wheels were installed first along with every suspension component Preston could get his hands on.  After fitment, the fenders were worked to accommodate some of the most intense dropped camber I’ve seen on a VIP ride.

The drop is provided by a laundry list of components from AirRunner suspension including the techy Accuair E-level Air Management System and dual Viair Compressors.  The majority of these components are but on brilliant display thanks to the color-matched fiberglass enclosure built by Progressive Auto Sounds. This enclosure is absolutely amazing and features an impressive speaker setup and alternating LED lighting throughout.  An absolutely enormous 32” view screen is also nested within the enclosure.

Like most VIP rides, the engine is relatively untouched but the engine plastics have been given a visual makeover thanks to the well-known airbrushed artwork of Mike “Dj Wish” Quering.  The interior is immaculately finished and exudes a sense of luxury thanks to the red diamond double-stitching.  Junction Produce items feature heavily throughout the cabin while the dash has a custom-fit 9” Alpine receiver installed.

There’s so much that has been done to this vehicle, that it’s impossible to cover everything here.  One look at the photos will show that this ride is worth of its wins…Best VIP at SPOCOM 2015 & 2 years-in-a-row for Best Import at Wekfest.  “I didn’t listen to anybody…I built what I wanted.” Says Preston.
